Italy Tour Travel Journal: Day 1 (Sunday)

Well we’ve got 24 hours down and 8 more to go!

After an unexpected extra-long layover in San Francisco due to a mechanical issue, we were re-routed to Frankfurt. We’re here in the airport camped out at our gate waiting for a Lufthansa flight to Rome, where our charter bus will pick us up and we’ll embark upon our three-hour trek to San Benedetto. We’re a bit tired but SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

At this point, we’re just worried that our bags make it to Rome with our revised itinerary. We’ve all packed extra pointe shoes in our bags (Leanne has three pairs, so she said she’s good for three days, lol), so we’re set for rehearsal, but it would be a little tricky to perform without our costumes and backdrops!

Before our 30 minutes of free wi-fi are up, here are a few behind-the-scenes photos from our travel adventures yesterday…
